Welcome to Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church

Currently nestled in the heart of the Duggan Community, Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church of Conroe, formerly known as Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church,  was first organized in 1901 by Rev. P.A. Northington. Before purchasing a church site, services were held in a small house. In 1903 the first Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church building was erected. Following the death of Rev. Northington in 1920, 6 reverends served as the pastors of PRBC helping it to grow into the establishment it is today. 

As of today, PRBC is under the Pastorage of Rev. B. J. Plattenburg who was called by God to pastor at PRBC in 1989. Rev. Plattenburg stresses faith, love and unity in many of his sermons. He is married to Rosie Plattenburg, a sweet and Christian woman. They have been a true asset to our church family. Under their leadership many organizations, programs, and building renovations have taken place. To name a few, the cafeteria was renovated, computers were replaced and updated, a church administration room was establish,  and renovations were made to the church sanctuary and offices. 

PRBC has existed for more then 118 years and continues to shine as a beacon of light in the heart of the Duggan community.
